Enhancing Technology to Support Mental Health Services

Overview

Synergy redesigned a website, implemented a content management system (CMS), and conducted on-site administrative user training to enhance the user experience and increase the efficiency of operations for an association of state executives.

Synergy collaborated with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD), which represents state executives responsible for mental health delivery systems across the country, to conduct a needs assessment and determine the client’s requirements for a revamped website. Our team designed and developed a user-focused and streamlined website to improve the ease with which users find resources, publications, policies, trainings, and other vital information supporting mental health service delivery.

Impact

The addition of filtering features that narrow document searches from hundreds of presentations and publications to a limited number of directly relevant documents greatly improved the user experience. CMS implementation enabled staff to access the online portal directly—which resulted in expeditious, cost-efficient content editing and updating.
