Founded in 2003, Synergy’s mission is to create a healthier, better educated world by supporting projects that strengthen people, programs, and communities. We are a Small Business Administration-certified small business with a reputation for delivering high-quality, award-winning products and services.
Our Journey
Synergy milestones from 2003 to 2024.
- 2003 — Synergy Enterprises incorporated, with primary focus on conference services.
- 2004 — Awarded first technical assistance and training contract; moved into first office space, in Silver Spring, Maryland.
- 2007 — Established Information Technology Division.
- 2008 — Ranked 14th on Washington Technology's list of top 8(a) firms nationwide.
- 2009 — CEO named Small Business Person of the Year for the Washington, DC, metro area by the Small Business Administration.
- 2010 — Named a top 5 GovCon Contractor of the Year; CEO named a top 5 small-business CEO.
- 2014 — Awarded first full-service strategic communications contract.
- 2016 — CEO received the Minority Business Leader Award from the Washington Business Journal.
- 2017 — CEO named in Trending 40: The New Power Women of DC Tech.
- 2020 — Moved headquarters to North Bethesda, Maryland, as staff fully transitioned to a virtual environment.
- 2022 — Expanded capabilities to include policy analysis.
- 2024 — Established new Research and Evaluation Division; CEO named one of Women We Admire's Top 50 Women Leaders of Maryland for 2024.
